If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.

Cruise Itinerary
8:00 - 8:30 | Pickup time
Pick-up time from the hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi (book the transfer service with an extra fee). After that, drive to Halong.
11:30 - 12:00 | Embark
Reach the waiting lounge in Tuan Chau Marina. From there, a tender boat will transport you to the Catherine Cruise.
You can check into your cabin after enjoying a welcome drink and listening to a cruise briefing.
Lunchtime - Set Sail for Ha Long Bay
As the cruise delves farther into Halong Bay, you will be able to witness the breathtaking beauty of the bay while enjoying a delicious meal in the luxury restaurant.
Visit Surprising Cave
Next, take a tour of Sung Sot Cave, the biggest cave in Halong Bay. You can view the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites as soon as you enter the two massive chambers here. Sneakers are highly recommended.
Fun time on Titop Island
Then we are going to the charming Titop Island to either trek or swim (towels provided). Let's unwind on the white sand beach, relax in the glistening water, or ascend to the summit of the island to get a bird's-eye perspective of the bay.
Back On Board - Cooking Class & Happy Hour
Come back to the cruise ship for some refreshments. You can join the special afternoon tea and cooking demonstration while taking in the stunning sunset off the bay, or simply relax with drinks during the Happy Hour.
Enjoy A Delicious Dinner - Free time
Enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the elegant restaurant aboard Catherine Cruise with a fine dining set menu.
After that, you'll have free time for evening activities. Let's play minigolf, go squid fishing, play poker, and spa.

Have Breakfast - Practice Tai Chi
Start your day off with a Tai Chi class and take in the breathtaking view of the sun rising over the horizon. While enjoying a light breakfast, you can take in the stunning scenery.
Explore Luon Cave
Travel to the stunning Luon Cave. Here, you’ll be assisted in getting into the sit-on-top kayaks. Then, you can enjoy leisurely sailing in the serene green lake like a mirror while taking in the striking stalagmite structure and the magnificent scenery.
Checkout - Brunchtime
Return to Catherine to unwind, pack your bags, and finish the checkout procedure at 9:30.
A full brunch buffet will be served as the boat sails approach the harbor. You can settle your bills in the reception area later.
11:00 | Reach Tuan Chau Pier - Disembark
Leave the Catherine Cruise and return to Tuan Chau Marina by tender boat. From there, you will be taken back to Hanoi. Enjoy your final glimpse of the picturesque Halong Bay.
14:00 - 14:30 | Back To Hanoi
If you book the transfer service (with extra fee, excluded from the cruise price), get in your pick-up car and return to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quater. End of the service!

8:00 - 8:30 | Pickup time
Pick up guests via shuttle bus (the transfer is not included in the cruise price) from the hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. After that, we take a 2.5-hour highway drive to get to Halong Bay.
11:30 - 12:00 | Embark
Arrival at Catherine Cruise's Lounge at Tuan Chau Marina. Meet the crew and have a handmade welcome drink. After that, you will transfer to the ship, and then receive a brief safety briefing and cruise briefing.
Lunchtime - Sail to Halong Bay
Savor the exquisite lunch that skilled chefs have prepared for you at the opulent restaurant as we travel to Halong Bay.
Explore Sung Sot Cave
We start traveling to Sung Sot Cave, the biggest cave in Halong Bay, at the center of the UNESCO World Heritage site. After hiking a 100-step steps, you will be in awe of how breathtaking the cave is with one-of-a-kind rock formations.
Visit Titop Island
After that, guests will head to Titop Island for some swimming and sunning, or you can hike to the top of the island to get a wide perspective over Halong Bay. (Towels are provided)
Return On Board - Happy Hour
As the sun sets across the bay, we return on board to relax after many fun activities. Enjoy the Happy Hour (buy one, get one free) and take part in the special afternoon tea and cooking demonstration.
Unwind on the large sundeck with some drinks
Dinner Time - Nighttime Activities
Enjoy a romantic dinner with a set menu in the onboard restaurant. Then, take in the starry sky from the top deck while enjoying drinks, try squid fishing, play mini-golf, or use the spa and sauna.

Take a Tai Chi session on the sundeck while the gorgeous sunrise greets you to start your amazing day. After that, savor your breakfast at the restaurant.
You will get on a day boat to discover the bay further. Depending on the number of guests joining the 2nd day tour, there are two different itineraries:
- Halong Bay Route (More than 10 pax)
Visit Cua Van fishing village
Start your tour of the floating village of Cua Van by kayaking or a sampan boat. This is one of the biggest and oldest fishing villages on Halong Bay with a unique culture.
Have Lunch
Return to the boat by midday to have a satisfying meal and some downtime.
Head to the Trinh Nu Cave Area
Start the afternoon with a kayaking trip through the Trinh Nu Cave area. This place is related to a romantic and sad legend of a couple. Let's kayak to discover the landscape here and remember to take photos for yourself.
- Lan Ha Bay Route (Fewer than 10 pax)
Explore Viet Hai Village
We arrive at the pristine Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island. Guests will discover the beauty of this village in two convenient means of transport: a bicycle or an electric car. Let's navigate through the lush forests and visit the ancient houses or interact with the locals as an alternative.
Lunchtime
After the village excursion, travelers will be back to the day boat to have lunch and relax for a bit before the afternoon schedule.
Kayaking & Swimming Activities
We will start the afternoon by going kayaking at the Tai Queo Cave area, a stunning spot for sightseeing. You can freely sail your kayak and explore hidden coves and islets of this stunning place.
Later, guests return to the boat and move to the Ba Trai Dao area to have a nice swim on the pretty beach. This place is enclosed with imposing islets, creating an airtight and peaceful area for you to immerse yourself in the emerald sea.
Relax On The Cruise
After an active day, we return to Catherine Cruise later at dusk and unwind at the pool or the bar. You can also schedule a spa treatment or enroll in the cookery class.

Begin your fantastic day in Halong Bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, followed by a light meal at the restaurant.
Explore Luon Cave
Today, prepare to climb into the sit-on-top kayaks in Luon Cave after going through a few basic safety precautions. Let’s admire the magnificent stalagmite formations while meandering leisurely through the serene green that reflects Luon Cave.
Check out & Have Brunch
After the cave tour, come back to our Catherine Cruise to pack your bags and leave your cabin at approximately 9:30.
As the ship sails back to the main port, a complete brunch buffet is provided in the dining area. After that, you can pay your bills at the front desk (if there are any).
11:00 | Reach Tuan Chau Pier - Disembark
Get on the transfer boat and go back to Tuan Chau Marina. Now you can relax while waiting for your driver.
14:30 - 15:00 | Back To Hanoi
Get your transportation (book in the next step with extra fee), you will arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in the afternoon. Your journey finishes here.

Shortly after, enjoy a delightful lunch in the 2nd-floor dining room as the ship sets sail. From your table, take in the stunning views of towering limestone karsts and emerald waters.
Visit Sung Sot Cave
Our first stop is the iconic Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most renowned grotto in Halong Bay. Nearly 700 steps guide you through vast chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer under soft lighting.
Relax on Titop Island
Next, visit Titop Island. Guests may hike the winding path to its summit for a panoramic view of Halong Bay or enjoy the beach below, perfect for sunbathing or swimming in crystal-clear waters. Towels are provided on board.
Sunset Activities
Returning to the cruise, unwind with Happy Hour at the bar or join a lively cooking class where the chef demonstrates how to prepare a signature Vietnamese dish.
Have dinner - Free time
Savor a refined dining experience with a set menu dinner in the 4th-floor restaurant.

Swim in Ba Trai Dao
A freshly prepared lunch is then served on the day boat before continuing to the unspoiled Ba Trai Dao Beach.
This idyllic spot, named after three peach-shaped islets, is famed for its soft white sands and clear turquoise water. Here, you can swim, sunbathe, or simply float and relax in the calm waves.
Have a trip to Pearl Farm
Next, visit a traditional Pearl Farm, where skilled artisans share the fascinating process of pearl cultivation. Observe how pearls are nurtured, see the harvesting process, and admire exquisite finished products.
Free time on board - Dinner
As the afternoon draws to a close, return to Catherine Cruise and unwind by the pool. Enjoy the golden sunset with Happy Hour at the 5th-floor bar, followed by a cooking demonstration showcasing another authentic Vietnamese dish.

Travel to Cat Ba Island
Wake up and get ready for another day of adventure. Around 8:15, a transfer boat will collect guests and head toward Cat Ba Island, with a brief stop along the way to pick up more travelers, adding to the lively journey.
Visit Viet Hai Village
Arrive at the peaceful Viet Hai Village, tucked away in the heart of Cat Ba National Park. You can explore this hidden valley by bicycle, cycling through lush jungle paths and rice paddies, or opt for an electric car ride for a more relaxed experience.
The village offers an authentic glimpse into traditional rural life, where the warm hospitality of the locals leaves a lasting impression.
Return to the boat for a delicious lunch and a short rest as the cruise continues deeper into the bay.
Kayaking & Swimming in Lan Ha Bay
The afternoon invites you to enjoy a kayaking adventure at the Manh Lu raft area near Van Boi Island. Glide across calm waters, weaving between limestone cliffs and discovering tranquil lagoons at your own pace.
Next, head to the stunning Ba Trai Dao Beach, one of Lan Ha Bay’s most beautiful swimming spots. Here, you can dive into turquoise waters, stretch out on soft white sand, or simply soak in the scenery.

Luon Cave Excursion
Afterward, set out to explore the tranquil Luon Cave, a hidden lagoon only accessible by kayak or traditional sampan. Paddle through a narrow limestone archway into still emerald waters surrounded by towering cliffs. Keep an eye out, you might catch sight of playful monkeys along the rocks.

Returning on board, prepare for check-out at 9:30. Place your luggage outside the cabin door for collection and return your room key to reception on the 1st floor.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the cruise experience we booked through you.
We paid nearly $800, and that cabin did not have heating.
It does not seem just that we had to endure such a poor experience and, on top of that, be expected to assume the full cost of it. We feel that the service provided was far below what was promised and what we reasonably paid for.

The trip went well without a hitch. Travel for 4 days was much better than a short 2-day cruise. I had so much more time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
