A trip to Dark & Bright Cave

Travel to the charming Dark & Bright Cave and head off in a rowing boat to explore the sparkling stalactites on the ceiling and feel the soul of the surrounding nature after going through the cave.

9:00 - 9:30 | Return on board - Check out

After the trip, get back to the cruise to relax for a bit then check out. Then, we go to the restaurant for a buffet lunch while traveling back to the mainland.

11:00 - 12:00 | Disembark

Return to Tuan Chau Marina and disembark for your onward journey. While waiting for the pick-up service to your next destination, enjoy the comfort of the Heritage Lounge.

14:30 - 15:00 | Back to Hanoi

If you have booked the transfer service (with an extra fee), a driver will pick you up to take you to your hotel in Hanoi.

Practice Vovinam - Breakfast

Start the day with a session of Vovinam on the sundeck, followed by coffee, tea, and pastries. Then prepare for the following journey with breakfast.

Explore Viet Hai Village

Transfer to a day boat to visit the pristine Viet Hai Village. Here, you can take a bicycle ride or electric car through a rainforest tunnel that leads to a rice-field vista. 

Visit a traditional house in a village deep in a national park where you can observe the local lifestyle and how their day goes.

Get on a speedboat to Viet Hai Village

Enjoy lunch

Guest will have a local lunch in the village before returning to the speedboat to visit Lan Ha Bay in the afternoon.

Have fun in Ba Trai Dao/Tra Bau

Visit the Cat Ba Archipelago, and then go to the Ba Trai Dao beaches where you can explore the secret trail and beaches. 

This pretty area is enclosed by vertical cliffs so the water is calm, which is perfect for swimming and kayaking. You may visit the Tra Bau area instead if the weather permits.

Return to Heritage Cruise

Return to the main ship to enjoy cocktails, beer, and fine wine as the sky changes color during sunset.

Let’s enjoy life aboard the vessel by reading in the library, enjoying a massage, swimming in the pool, or joining the cooking class.

Dinner Time & Leisure

In the evening, enjoy a fine dining experience dinner in the luxury Le Tonkin Restaurant.

Then, you are welcome to have some drinks at the bar on the top deck, try squid fishing, or simply rest in your comfy cabin.

Morning Activities

If you miss the Vovinam class on day 2, let’s join it on your final day in Lan Ha Bay. A light breakfast will be served later.

Dark & Bright Cave Discovery

The last attraction today is the spectacular Dark & Bright Cave. It’s time to explore this magnificent cave on a rowing boat, seeing the amazing stalactites on the ceiling and feeling the essence of the surrounding nature.

Return to Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan to check out. Then you may have some time to relax, followed by a brunch in the restaurant.

11:00 - 12:00 | Get off board

The cruise travel back to Tuan Chau Marina, a tender will transfer you back to the waiting lounge. 

14:30 - 15:00 | Arrive at Hanoi

If you use the transfer (with an extra fee, not included), it takes about 2.5 hours to return to Hanoi. Stop at your hotel and end your trip.

Visit Viet Hai Village

Board a speedboat to travel to the natural Viet Hai Village in Cat Ba Island. Here, you will ride a bicycle or an electric cart via a rainforest tunnel to explore this place. 

Guests have a chance to visit a traditional house in a village deep within a national park to witness the local people's way of life. 

Breathe in the fresh air of Viet Hai Village

Enjoy a local lunch

Around noon, you will have lunch in the village and then relax a bit. Afterward, return to the speedboat for another trip to Lan Ha Bay.

Unwind in the Ba Trai Dao Area

Sail along the Cat Ba Archipelago, and then head to the Ba Trai Dao beaches.

This place is the perfect getaway spot where you may explore the hidden cave, and beaches surrounded by vertical cliffs or just swim and kayak in Tra Bau (if the weather and tide allow).

Activities at Sunset

As the sky changes colors, return to Heritage Cruises for drinks, beer, and excellent wine during the Happy Hour (25% OFF).

Enjoy life onboard the ship or in your suite, and enjoy the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin with a cocktail in hand. A Vietnamese cooking lesson will be taught by the chef later.

Enjoy Dinner - Free time

After a long day, you will have a fine dining experience in Le Tonkin Restaurant. Then, spend your free time for squid fishing, massage, or drinking.

Let’s wake up early to watch the sunrise, practice Vovinam or exercise in the gym then have breakfast.

Cat Ba Island Expedition

After the meal, go by day boat to the Gia Luan Port and disembark to explore the largest island in the Gulf of Tonkin, Cat Ba Island.

Our driver and tour guide will meet you to drive you into the lush rainforest and scenic karst landscapes where you will stop to visit the largest cave, Trung Trang Cave, or the Quan Y Cave close to Cat Ba National Park.

Then, we head to the center of the island and join the locals at the market. Feel free to buy some souvenirs and enjoy local food here

Lunch Time

After the amusing trip, you will have lunch at a local restaurant in the center of the island and have a rest.

Optional: You can walk around the stunning Cat Co beaches before heading back to the Beo seaport.

Back to Heritage Cruises

At the Beo port, the speedboat will be waiting to take you back to Lan Ha Bay and board Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan.

It's your free time to enjoy the swimming pool and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at the Pool Bar while the sun sets over the bay. Cooking class & happy hour are happen as usual.

Dinner will be served at Le Tonkin Restaurant. Time to join nighttime activities, such as relaxing at the top-deck bar, trying squid fishing, and reading in the library.

Explore the Dark & Bright Cave on a bamboo boat rowed by a local to appreciate this beautiful water cave. Take a look at the stalactites on the ceiling in the cave then witness the breathtaking view outside of the cave.

Back to Heritage Cruises for refreshments. It’s time to pack your luggage and check out. Go to L’Indochine Restaurant for your last meal on board and enjoy the rest of your time in Lan Ha Bay.

11:00 - 12:00 | Reach Tuan Chau Pier

The cruise arrives at Tuan Chau Marina. Say goodbye to the hospitable crew and wait for your transportation in the waiting lounge (book with an extra fee).

14:30 - 15:00 | Return to Hanoi

It takes only 2.5 hours to travel to Hanoi via highway. Stop at your hotel in the Olds Quarter.
