If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
- The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!
Cruise Itinerary
8:00 - 8:30 | Pick up from Hanoi
You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transferred to Tuan Chau (book the transfer service with an extra fee).
NOTE: If guests do not stay at the hotel in the Old Quarter, the car will pick up at Hanoi Opera House.
11:45 - 12:30 | Checkin & Embark
We arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, check-in, and then transfer by tender boat to Velar of the Seas. The crew team welcomes you onboard with guiding information and a safety briefing.
Have Lunch
You will enjoy a fabulous lunch in the restaurant while the cruise starts sailing through the magnificent Lan Ha Bay, a less-visited geological extension of Halong Bay. After lunchtime, you will have a short break before joining the first activity of the tour.
Explore Dark & Bright Cave
In the afternoon, we started the trip to visit Dark & Bright Cave by using a bamboo boat rowed by the locals. After passing through this mysterious wet cave, you will discover a serene round lake surrounded by lush trees and majestic stone cliffs.
Afterward, you will get to a more private and peaceful area and have a nice swim in the clear emerald water of Halong Bay (each guest will be provided with a towel and life jacket).

Onboard Activities
It’s time to return to your lavish liner and cruise to your evening accommodation. Let’s enjoy the sunset party with fruits and snacks and Happy Hour will offer you a drink at an attractive price at Velar Sky Bar.
Or else, joining the Vietnamese cooking demonstration is a great way to learn how to prepare delicious appetizers and the chef will guide you through the process.
Enjoy dinner - Free time
In the evening, you can spoil yourself with a unique signature dinner in the distinctive restaurant on board. Then, it’s time to relax with exotic drinks. Alternatively, you can order an indulgent spa service, watch movies, go squid fishing, or simply relax on the sundeck under the illuminated sky.

Tai Chi Class - Breakfast
You can greet the first light of the day on the sundeck, warm up your body with Tai Chi class, or enjoy an early morning cup of coffee to watch the stunning sunrise. Then, a light breakfast will be served in the restaurant.
Tra Bau Area Excursion
We will explore Lan Ha Bay further by kayaking around the Tra Bau area. Just simply navigate around and you can see the picturesque beauty of the harmonious turquoise waters, blue sky, and green flora.

After that, you return to the cruise ship and check out of your cabin around 9:00. As we draw closer to the mainland, savor your brunch and a

Receive your goodbye from the crew board your tender and head back to the waiting lounge in Tuan Chau Harbor where you will meet your return trip vehicle to transfer you to Hanoi (book the transfer with an extra fee).
14:30 - 15:00 | Back to Hanoi
From the lounge, it will take you about 3 hours to return to Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel and mark the end of this memorable trip.

For those who book the transfer service (extra fee needed), you will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter Streets and got to Halong City.

You will arrive at the cruise waiting lounge at Tuan Chau Harbor for check-in. Then, we will transfer by tender boat to Velar Cruise. Upon getting on board, you may listen to guiding information and a safety briefing from the crew.
Set sails - Have lunch
Let’s have a tasty lunch in the onboard restaurant and admire the magnificent Lan Ha Bay through the large sea-view windows. After that, you will have a short break before the afternoon activities.
Restaurant on board with Pretty Decorations
Dark & Bright Cave Excursion
Upon reaching this marvelous cave, you will sit on a bamboo boat rowed by fishermen for a relaxing but memorable experience. Don’t forget to take pictures of this area, which is blessed with outstanding rock formations, lush flora, and gorgeous landscape.
Afterward, you can freely swim and bathe in the sea in the area on the rear of the 1st deck (each guest will be provided with a towel and life jacket).
Free time at Sunset
Guests return to Velar Cruise to participate in two activities: Sunset party & cooking class. You can enjoy relaxing moments sipping cool drinks, eating fresh fruit on the sundeck, and watching the breathtaking sunset or learning about Vietnamese cuisine with a chef.
Diner time & Leisure
After a fun day, enjoy a delicious dinner. After that, you can relax at your cabin, go squid fishing, or watch movies at the restaurant. Overnight stay on board.

Morning Activities
You can be an early riser and attend healthy Tai Chi practice on the sundeck. Then, have a nice breakfast to refuel your energy for today's trip.
Travel to Viet Hai Village
You will join a day boat trip and transfer to Viet Hai, a small village in the midst of the lush jungles, covered by high mountains off Cat Ba Island.
Upon arrival, take a bike ride along the small path through the rainforests. Enjoy the stunning scenery of rice fields on the way, stop at the local village to relax, and visit an ancient local house which is made from straw, mud, bamboo, etc… This is an amazing way to learn about the culture, customs, and daily life of the local people.
Have lunch
Back to the day boat for a break after your village trip. Lunch will be served onboard.
Unwind in Ba Trai Dao Beach
In the afternoon, the boat takes you to the pristine beach area of Ba Trai Dao Island. This is the most beautiful beach in Lan Ha Bay with nature amazing white sand, peaceful, and less touristy, you are free to swim or participate in kayaking to explore this beautiful place.
Onboard Activities
We get on the day boat and return to the Velar of the Seas Cruise. Let’s join some interesting activities such as a cooking demonstration, sunset party, and relax on the sundeck to catch the gorgeous sunset panorama. Don’t miss the Happy Hour at our bar as well.
Relax in the Jacuzzi pool and enjoy the stunning landscape
Dinner - Free time
A special dinner of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing delicacies will be served for you. In the late evening, take your leisure time to chat at the bar, play board games, do squid fishing, sing karaoke, etc.

Morning
You can practice Tai Chi on the sundeck to start a new day. Or else, you can sunbathe and watch the sunrise on the sundeck. Light breakfast is served later at the restaurant.
Kayaking in Tra Bau
The next activity is kayaking in the picturesque and poetic Tra Bau area for around 1 hour. This is a wonderful chance to get closer to nature and admire the majestic beauty of the limestone mountains.
Brunch time - Check out
We return to Velar of the Seas Cruise, check out around 9:00 and the ship will begin its journey back to Halong Bay. You will have a tasty brunch as we cruise back.
11:00 | Get off the board
You will say goodbye to the crew and transfer to the transfer boat to return to the dock. Disembark at the cruise lounge and wait for your transportation back to Hanoi.
14:30 - 15:00 | Travel to Hanoi
A car will take you back to Hanoi if you need to book a car service (extra fee needed). Drop off at your hotel and end a Halong Bay tour full of joy.

Excellent experience on Velar Cruise Halong
This is a new cruise in Halong Bay, pretty large.
Spacious rooms, ours had large windows so we could see the landscape, there was a window in the bathroom too.
With great facilities, wonderful food and amazing staff, we were happy with the experience.
